Not saying “No” is the number one killer of every American. I am the queen of, “No” and it makes people mad. Saying “No” means you have control over your life and which way you want it to go. It cuts off people who want to dictate where they want you to go. It immediately stonewalls people who are about to throw a monkey wrench in your plans. And above all, it pisses off people who have the audacity to think you’re not a sovereign person who has a mind of your own.
I first learned the power of “No” at a very young age, from the 80s when Nancy Reagan ran the “Dare to Just Say No To Drugs” campaign. So, if your friend is drunk and they want to drive, you better say, “No”. If you’re a girl and someone, especially a guy, asks you to come alone somewhere or to a party, say “No”. Your friend offers you drugs and alcohol? No. Because at the end of the day, you might get hooked on it and when the partying is over, you ended it as an addict and can’t quit while those same friends went on and left you behind. They’ll go on living their healthy lives, while you’re trashed. Nope. Or even worse, they’ll talk behind your back at how stupid you were to continue with the drugs and alcohol. Nope. Not going down that road.
