Now That I’m Grown Up

I figured I’d actually write something serious for once (shocking I know). It’s something that is going to either piss you off or it wont, point blank. Either way I don’t care, its my blog and I do what I want. This will actually be kind of long so I’ll break it up into parts. Here’s my disclaimer to the following people not to read any further:

If you are extremely patriotic about the United States, you have been warned.

If you are extremely religious, you have been warned.

If you are military, you have been warned.

So here is my epic monologue.

When most people in the United States are kids, we have simple dreams and expectations such as wanting to get that first car, that first job, finding a career,  getting married, etc. You go to high school, college and then as an adult, you get married, have a few offspring, buy stuff, etc. I started school when I was 4 and graduated from high school at 16 years old while everyone else were older. I think it’s because I was exposed to life so early that it enabled me to see situations for what they really were and not see them the way others wanted or expected me to see like other kids. I always saw people as “them over there” and “me over here”. I was never quite in the circle but never quite out of the circle either. I was very very selective of the people I chose as “friends” which often only ended up being one or two people tops. I chose my friends based off their “vibes” not their looks or their status quo.  Basically I didn’t give a damn if you were the most popular, in fact that would drive me even further away because I don’t like attention. I can tell by people’s vibes from the first time I meet them if they are believable or a bullshitter. I know many adults who can do that even now but this is something that has never left me and I’ve had this outlook ever since I was a kid.

I know you’re probably thinking, ok what did that cool story have to do with U.S. patriots, religion and military, well I’m about to get to that next.  So for the part that might piss some people off.

Now that I’m all grown up and I see the world for what it is, I can give the results of my analysis.

The American people have been lied to and been told half-truths by the media and government and are so oblivious to the world around them its literally pathetic and makes me sick to my stomach. Their selfishness, arrogance and hypocrisy is of the worst kind, its of the kind of “As long as I have a job. As long as I have a house. As long as I have food on my table. As long as I can do my Pilates on the beach in peace. As long as I can shop at the mall. As long as I, I, I, … then life is good”. NO life is NOT good. YOUR life is good because someone else’s life across the water has ended or was destroyed so you can have your stupid iPods and other trinkets. But yet you carry on with your lives as if no one suffered.  Someone else did that, he called himself
