As a kid growing up in the 80s, kid life was just different, as we had more realistic and wholesome idols than what exists today. There was a huge emphasis on science, the arts and athletics growing up as a kid in the 90s, so in Olympics a lot of us had idols like Debi Thomas and Mary Lou Retton....

I deeply believe that people should help build the place they came from, but as a Black person it's complicated, because a lot of us either move away becomes our hometowns are not desirable to move back to, so improving it would be from a distance or we don't have the financial means to improve it at all....

I think unlike most people, my life wasn't changed by the pandemic, in-fact, I was living my best life. I'm an introvert, and at the time of the pandemic, I was living alone in my Brooklyn apartment. I didn't even have my cats yet. I was already working from home, so the lockdown was just another day in the news for me....

Something most people don't understand is doublesp

Something most people don't understand is doublespeak. It's when a person says one thing, but really means something else which is usually something sinister. So, they make what they say sound acceptable enough so that people don't clutch their pearls. Doublespeak is practiced a lot by white people in America when used in racist context, because they don't want to be seen as a "bad person" or when they're trying to get over on you....

How has technology changed your job? #Technology has changed my job because it made me lose it. I was tier 3 technical support at a software development company and my employer switched to #AI to get rid of most of us. Although, it's not really AI, but only automated messages from a brainless bot that just throws sequenced troubleshooting steps at customers....

How often do you say “no” to things that would interfere with your goals? Not saying "No" is the number one killer of every American. I am the queen of, "No" and it makes people mad. Saying "No" means you have control over your life and which way you want it to go. It cuts off people who want to dictate where they want you to go....

I don't consider myself superstitious, however, I still do some superstitious stuff besides the usual black cat crossings, throwing salt over my shoulder, not breaking mirrors, and opening umbrellas inside a building: 💀 Burning My Hair: As a kid, my Mom would do my hair and then pile it into an ashtray and burn it. I never thought to ask her why, I just accepted it as a normal thing and thought nothing more of it....
