I don’t think people realize how geographically tiny Manhattan actually is. I took this pic of the entire length of it from NJ while on my lunch break at my old job. Using buildings as markers, World Trade Tower One (far right) is downtown, Empire State Building (middle) is midtown, and all those little needles to the far left is uptown. Now. Dump ~1.6 million bros in that and then add millions more for rush hour from the other boros converging on it to go to work and school, and you’ll see why we tight.
FYI. This is only Manhattan and not including the other 4 boros (Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens, Staten Island). All together there are 8 million people in NY. Just imagine opening your door and just seein niggas everywhere, everyday and y’all wonder why we “rude”. My hometown of Newport News, Virginia is ~65 square miles which is almost 3 times bigger than Manhattan which is only ~25 square miles. Suddenly, my “small” hometown doesn’t seem so small anymore.
