We got all kinds of science going on this week. The eclipse reached peak in New York City at around 3:25PM EST. My building’s in the Bronx and has an amazing view from the rooftop of the northern Manhattan skyline, so I was up there with the boyfriend. It never got dark, only slightly dim, so the darkness you see is just me putting the eclipse visors over my phone’s lense so I wouldn’t fry its image sensor from the sun. I wonder how many people fried their cameras today pointing their cameras at the sun for too long.
